The usage of SignaLED improves guidance in tunnels and on roads. This visual guidance product consists of light-emitting modules installed along the pathway and one or more associated control units. This system is connected to the tunnel operation center or controlled manually. The light-emitting modules are linked to the control units via a cable connection (wired).

 

Technical Specification

1. Electric road studs are used in critical areas of tunnels and roads to increase safety through active guidance.

2. Electric road studs are working with low power electricity, are used in different color combinations and are produced with LED technology conforming to international standards.

3. On the right side of the tunnel red LED markers will be installed on the tunnel curbstone in traffic direction. The markers backside on the right side will be white LED. On the left side of the tunnel white LED markers will be installed on the tunnel curbstone in traffic direction. The marker backside on the left side will be red LEDs.

4. Electric road studs will be installed on the edge of the curbstones along the road or sidewalk. Power cables will be laid in the tunnel-service channel.

5. Electric road markers should have at least 1m halogen free connection cable with 2x0,75mm2. Through a cylindrical drilling on the curbstone the connection cable of the road marker is passed to the service channel and connected to the main power line.

6. The cable connections between the road markers and the main power supply are done with waterproof IP 68 connectors. Any other connectors need to be approved by the local authority. All connected road markers will shine at the same light intensity.

7. Electric road markers will comply to following standards and requirements set out below: The body material of the road markers are made of low flammability ASA plastic and are in accordance with UL 94 V0 (960°C EN 60695-2-11). The compliance to this standard shall be certified by an international accredited testing laboratory. Such documents and test reports are part of the tender dossiers and will be submitted to the tender administration together with the proposal. In the test report the test methods, real test pictures, testing machinery and equipment needs to be clearly documented and submitted to the tender administration.

The bottom material of the road marker, where the electronic circuits and wiring within the product is sealed, shall comply with the UL 94 V0 standard. Product conformity will be certified by international accredited test laboratory, this documentation and test reports will be submitted to the administration in the tender dossier together with the proposal. In the test report the test methods, real test pictures, testing machinery and equipment needs to be clearly documented and submitted to the tender administration.
The electric markers should consist of 6 LEDs in each direction. In total the marker has 12 LEDs. The LEDs are protected behind a waterproof, UV-resistant, highly light transmitting (water clear), scratch-resistant and flexible screening grid.

To mount the road stud on the ground the road stud must have 2 mounting holes with at least 5mm in diameter .

8. After the installation of the marker the height of the road marker from the ground/asphalt is 19mm.

9. The color of the LEDs will be red and white (bi-directional)

10. The road stud and the control unit have the ability to communicate via PWM (pulse width modulation) signals. Road markers are controlled via PWM (pulse width modulation) signals through the power cables. In this way all connected markers are synchronized along the power cables and will have the same defined light intensity or flash frequency.

11. Connection cables of the road markers will have 1m standard length.

12. Road markers must be in accordance to EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) requirements: EN 50121-4:2006 ; EN 50293:2012 ; EN 55015:2013 ; EN 61000-6-2:2005 ; EN 61000-6-3:2007+A1:2011. The compliance to this standard shall be certified by an international accredited testing laboratory. All test reports will be submitted to the administration in the tender dossier together with the proposal. In the test report the test methods, real test pictures, testing machinery and equipment needs to be clearly documented and submitted to the tender administration.

13. Road markers must be IP68 waterproof in accordance to EN 60529. The compliance to this standard shall be certified by an international accredited testing laboratory. Such documents and test reports are part of the tender dossiers and will be submitted to the tender administration together with the proposal. In the test report the test methods, real test pictures, testing machinery and equipment needs to be clearly documented and submitted to the tender administration.

14. Electric road studs must comply to CE conformity. Declaration of conformity will be submitted to the administration in the tender dossier together with the proposal.
